How much do custom Carhartt hoodies cost?
A custom Carhartt hoodie costs the Carhartt blank plus the decoration. Battle Born Clothing publishes the decoration side in full and quotes the blank per job with Carhartt's minimum advertised pricing respected. Here is how the numbers work.
The two lines on every quote
Every Carhartt hoodie quote from Battle Born Clothing has two lines per style. The first is the Carhartt blank. As an authorized Carhartt decorator we buy through SanMar and S&S Activewear, and we respect Carhartt's minimum advertised pricing, so we do not post a blank number on a public page. We quote it with your job, usually the same business day. The second line is the decoration, which is the same published matrix we use on every garment.
Why publish one and not the other? The decoration is our work and our price. The blank price is governed by the brand's pricing policy. Keeping them separate also makes it easy to compare: you can see exactly what you pay for the embroidery, and the blank line can be checked against what you know Carhartt fleece sells for.
Embroidery: up to 6,000 stitches first
The base price covers one location up to 6,000 stitches. That is enough for almost every left-chest logo. Above 6,000, each additional 1,000 stitches, rounded up, adds a fixed amount set by the quantity tier.

The tier is counted on the whole order. If you order 30 pullovers and 30 zip-fronts with the same logo, all 60 pieces price at the 60-79 tier.
What a bigger design costs
A left-chest logo is cheap to stitch. A full back is not, because it carries three to five times the stitches. This table shows the per-piece embroidery price for common design sizes at each tier.

Two locations are two lines. A 5,000-stitch left chest and a 15,000-stitch back at 48 pieces is $5.50 + $14.50 = $20.00 per piece in decoration.
Leather patches
A laser-engraved leather patch is $8.00 per piece at 1-23 and drops $0.50 every 24 pieces, down to $4.00 at 192 and up. Heat-bonded is the base price. Sewn on adds $4-6 per piece, quoted with the job.
One-time and extra fees
- Digitizing: $18.99 one time per design, standard 2-day.
- Customer-supplied garments: $2 per item handling.
- Screen print and DTF on Carhartt: quoted per job (screens $20 per color, $0.25 flash on dark).
- Rush: quoted per job.
Three worked examples
12 hoodies, one left-chest logo. $6.00 x 12 = $72.00 plus $18.99 digitizing = $90.99 in decoration. The Carhartt blank is quoted separately.
48 hoodies, left chest plus 15,000-stitch back. $20.00 x 48 = $960.00 plus 2 x $18.99 = $997.98. The Carhartt blank is quoted separately.
96 hoodies with a heat-bonded leather patch. The 96-119 rate is $6.00, so $576.00. The Carhartt blank is quoted separately.
How to keep the cost down
- Order together. Every style counts toward one tier, and the 48, 60 and 80-piece breaks are real.
- Keep the left chest under 6,000 stitches. Your proof shows the count.
- Simplify a back design. Outline and open lettering carry fewer stitches than solid fills.
- Reorder the same design. No new digitizing fee.
